Booking Deposits is a feature specifically designed for restaurants hosting larger parties such as weddings, confirmations, and baptisms.

With Booking Deposits, you can request advance payments from guests, providing a solid guarantee for their reservations and significantly reducing the risk of no-shows.

With Booking Deposits, your restaurant has the flexibility to decide the deposit amount and whether it covers the entire bill or just a portion of it. This enables you to tailor the deposit request based on the event’s nature and your restaurant’s specific requirements

Send deposit request

To create a Booking Deposit request, right click on a booking.
Go to Send email and choose Booking Deposit email.

Add the amount the guest should prepay.
The amount is for the entire booking, and can be set differently per booking.
Click Send.

The guest will recieve an email asking them to pay the deposit
The template can edited in Email Templates -> Deposit Payment

Once the Deposit is paid, then booking will be checked Confirm, and the amount added to Payment

Cancel Paid Deposit

To cancel and refund the deposit, right click on the booking.

Under Cancel prepaid booking select Cancel Entire booking

Cancel entire booking – Leave “Enter Penalty Amount” empty for a full refund.
In case of late cancellations, you have the option to keep an agreed amount. Enter this amount under “Enter Penalty Amount”. The remaining amount will be refunded to the guest.

In case of full refunds, all fees are also refunded.
In case of partially refunds, no fees are refunded.

The booking will automatically be deleted.
