Info

Prepayments should be treated as payments upon guest finalization.
This means that everything the guest orders and receives in the restaurant is entered into the register.
The prepaid amount is then entered as payment, and any ourstanding amount are settled directly with the guest thereafter.

In essence, treat the prepayment as though it were cash or a gift card. Here’s how it works: you ring up all items at the register, resulting in a total. Below the total, the tax portion/tax calculation is displayed.
Then, subtract the prepayment from the total.
The remainder is the amount the guest can pay using a card, cash, or gift card.
